ANU Discovery - Terms and Conditions

1. Agreement between User and ANU Discovery

Welcome to ANU Discovery (“Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”). The Platform is operated by Beit Hatfutzot – The Museum of the Jewish People. The Platform is comprised of various digital resources, tools, and services operated by Beit Hatfutzot. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy, which can be found here . If you do not agree to these Terms, please discontinue your use of the Platform immediately.

2. Modifications to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Platform, as indicated by the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. Please review the Terms regularly.

3. Use of the Platform

By accessing or using the Platform, you affirm that:

  1. To the extent required, Parental or guardian consent have been obtained in order to use the Platform.

  2. You agree to use the Platform only for its intended purposes. The Platform is provided for entertainment and educational purposes only and should not be relied upon for any specific advice or actions. Any unauthorized use, including but not limited to misuse of the Platform’s content or functionality, is strictly prohibited.

  3. By creating an account on the Platform, you are responsible for maintaining its confidentiality and for all activities that occur under your account. Please notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or suspected breach of security.

4. Intellectual Property

All materials on the Platform, as well as the organization and layout of the site, are owned and copyrighted by Beit Hatfutzot and may be accessed or printed for your personal non-commercial use only. Without the prior written permission of Beit Hatfutzot, you may not copy, modify, distribute, transfer, decompile, reverse assemble, disassemble, or otherwise reverse engineer any material on this site, in whole or in part.

5. Prohibited Activities

When using the Platform, you agree not to violate any applicable laws or regulations, use the Platform for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose, interfere with the operation or security of the Platform, or collect or store personal information about other users without consent.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform if we suspect abuse, misuse, or any behavior that violates these Terms or our policies.

6. Limitation of Liability

YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM IS ON AN "AS IS," "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, AND WE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM ANY REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR FREE OR FREE FROM VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL MALICIOUS AGENTS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT AND UNDER NO LEGAL THEORY, WHETHER TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), CONTRACT OR OTHERWISE, SHALL Beit Hatfutzot, ITS AFFILIATES, AND ITS AND THEIR RESPECTIVE SHAREHOLDERS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, ADVERTISERS, SUPPLIERS, CONTENT PROVIDERS AND LICENSORS (COLLECTIVELY, "ANU") BE LIABLE (JOINTLY OR SEVERALLY) TO YOU OR ANY OTHER PERSON AS A RESULT OF YOUR USE OF PLATFORM FOR INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Your sole and exclusive remedy under this Agreement is as expressly set forth herein. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties, so the above exclusions or limitations may not apply to you.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Platform, without notice, for any conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to our interests.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Tel Aviv, Israel.
